About the Praise & Worship team:
-
We at Rhein Valley Cell Church Ministries believe that worship is one of the most important elements of our ministry. Worship plays a vital role in the relationship between the believer and the Almighty God. It is how we express our love and adoration to our Heavenly Father.
We believe that there are many ways in which to express praise and worship to God; prayer, dance, singing, lifting of the hands and kneeling before God are just a few examples. However, the most important way to express our love and commitment to God is to give our very lives to Him in a constant sacrifice of ourselves.
Romans 12:1 says that we are to give ourselves to God as a living sacrifice that is holy and pure. This is the greatest act of worship that a child of God can offer to the King of Kings. All other forms of worship must follow this one continuous act. Only after we have given ourselves wholly unto God can we offer him our prayers and songs in worship.
My goal as the worship leader of Rhein Valley Cell Church Ministries is to see people touching the Father’s and allowing the Father to touch theirs in worship. I want to see lives changed and people set free as a result of worship.
The worship ministry at RVCCM consists of many different entities. We currently have a worship band, a dance team, a choir and a team that plans “alternative worship” gatherings. We use these different teams to lead our congregation into different aspects of worship. Psalm 150 says that we should praise God with music and dance. The arts (dance, painting, music) have been used by the world to appeal to the lusts of the flesh. Our goal is to redeem the arts and to allow them to be used for their original intention; to give glory and honor to God and to draw people to His heart. The alternative worship gathering that we have is called “Impact”. The vision and goal of this worship gathering is to get the congregation more personally involved in the worship gatherings. Worship should not be a spectator sport.
Here at RVCCM we try to uphold a standard of excellence in all that we do. This is upheld in the worship ministry not only with skill but also with spiritual excellence. We do not allow people to be part of the worship ministry based solely on talent and ability. We also require each member to study what the Word of God says about worship and ministry. Each member must also be committed to the team in practice and prayer. Ministry is essentially service. Everything that we do as a worship team is intended to serve the body of Christ by helping them to come closer to God through worship.
Our desire as a worship team is to see people become closer to God, to see lives changed and to see the arts restored to the church for the honor and Glory of God.
